There’s an unusual type of Christmas Tree currently on display this year at St. Pancras International Station.
It’s a 12 metre high display, consisting of 3,000 hand painted books laid out on 270 climbing shelves.

At its base are 8 booths where you can park your bum and listen to audio snippets from classic novels by authors like Charles Dickens and Beatrix Potter plus many others

Apart from adding something a little different than the normal traditional Xmas displays at London’s mainline stations – it’s other aim is to promote the importance of books and the enjoyment they can provide.
Something a little different I guess

Geoff, I cannot find any tab that says “contact me” so this looks like only poss way? I would love to talk to you if only for a few minutes you seem to have such knowledge about the Minder series and people that worked on it dropping like flies.I grew up in London early 50’s so many memories, fished off Hammersmith Bridge, 78 years young still playing in bands…went to school in Earls ct rd next to the police station where I thought Minder may have been filmed, but maybe they are all built to look the same.
Thanks for your blog great read.
John
